Juliette Galicia Pico is a principal of the firm. Her practice focuses are taxation and estate and business planning. Ms. Pico advises clients on a wide variety of estate planning and related issues, including, business succession planning and charitable giving. She has extensive experience in corporate, limited liability company and partnership matters, including business entity formation, corporate maintenance, acquisitions and sales of businesses, and liquidations. She also advises non-profit entities on a variety of tax issues. Ms. Pico also represents individuals and businesses in all phases of tax disputes with the Internal Revenue Service, the Massachusetts Department of Revenue, and other agencies. When settlements are not possible, she represents clients in U.S. Tax Court and before the Massachusetts Appellate Tax Board.

Ms. Pico received a bachelor's degree in accounting from Boston College in 1988 and a law degree from Boston College Law School in 1991.

Prior to joining Lourie & Cutler, Ms. Pico worked for an international accounting firm and also clerked with the Office of Chief Counsel, Internal Revenue Service, in Boston, Massachusetts. She writes on tax matters as a columnist for the New England Real Estate Journal.
